My wedding has been postponed from September to next April, so this was very helpful! What are your thoughts on writing thank you notes for gifts that were sent directly to me from the stores I registered at. Do i write them now? Wording? Help!
Hi Jill! We’re sorry to hear your wedding was postponed… but April sounds perfect! It is best to write thank you notes and mail them out as soon as you receive gifts. Write down the gift received, who sent it, and cross off “sent” when the thank you card goes out in the mail to keep track.
For the actual thank you note itself, you can include something such as, “Thank you for the coffee maker and the mugs. We can’t wait to use them and they are just what we wanted! We are looking forward to celebrating with you at our wedding in April. Thank you for thinking of us and sending such a wonderful gift. Love, ___ and ____”
Tailor it to suit your style, but that is an example. :) If you have other questions, just let us know. Best wishes to you as you continue planning for your beautiful springtime wedding and stay healthy!
