One of the easiest ways to add your own personalized touch to your wedding is with a fun, outside-the-box guest book. A guest book, where guests sign their names and add a little note of congratulations, is a wonderful keepsake book to have as a memory of who attended your wedding. Today a guest book isn’t necessarily a book; it can be anything, as long as guests can sign something. One of my favorite guest book alternatives is the mason jar guest book and we’ll show you how it works here today.
It’s easy, really, especially when you have everything ready to go. No DIY needed, thanks to this mason jar guest book kit by Ginger Ray.
This mason jar becomes a wishing jar with everything for your guest book set-up: you receive one wishing jar, 100 wooden hearts, and an instructions card. The jar has a slot in the lid so guests can sign a wooden heart and place inside the jar.
If you need more wooden hearts, you can buy them separately (under $10 for 100!) here from Craftparts Direct.
For guests to write on the hearts, we recommend Sharpie fine point markers (these!) since they’re easy to write with, even on wood; they won’t rub off, fade, or smear when guests write on them. Place 3-4 markers on your guest book table and that should be plenty to last the entire night.
What do you think of this mason jar guest book idea? Will you be using it for your wedding?
Happy Planning!
