A Lifetime of Love.
How important is it for your engagement or wedding ring to be ethical? We would argue that it’s the number one criteria for the ethical bride! It’s the one thing in your wedding which will accompany you through your journey, every step of the way, forever – alongside your partner, of course. A ring serves as a reminder of your commitment, both to your partner and your beliefs. So yes, an ethical ring is very important to a person who believes in doing better!
Gardens of the Sun, a Bali-based jewelry brand recently released their Origins Collection. They claim ethical practices from start to finish for their newest pieces of jewelry. We’re intrigued with their claims and got talking to Meri Geraldine, the founder of the brand. “This is our inaugural collection of pieces we can say are 100% traceable. We know the women who mined our gold. We know where the gemstones and diamonds are from. We know who cut our stones. We work with artisanal and indigenous miners, often women, and make sure that we pay a premium when we know they’re mined in a responsible way.”
Finding a brand that cares is one thing, but finding one that does it really well is another. One of our favorite things about Gardens of the Sun is Meri’s belief for her jewelry: all that glitters should be guilt free. With the Origins Collection, each piece details the jewelry’s journey, from raw materials, to the actual crafting.
Made with love, for your ultimate day of love.
We’ve picked out our favorite pieces from the collection.
