Hi, lovelies! Another day, another sweet wedding question from you guys! Britney writes us about clear save the dates she spotted online and wants to know what they’re called. She writes,
“Hi Emmaline, I saw clear/see-through save the date cards on Pinterest and can’t find them anywhere. What are they called and where can you find them? I wish I had a picture to show but they had rounded corners and were made of a see-through or plastic material. Thank you for your help!”
Hey, Britney: great question! Some brides call them clear save the dates, others refer to them as acrylic save the dates. It is also referred to as a transparent or see-through save the date card. Ah, well, tomato, tomato. :)
The clear style you’ve been seeing everywhere — along with menus, seating charts, invitations, and more — are definitely on the radar of couples and social media everywhere. Clear or transparent plastic makes for a very minimalist and modern design, very “in” right now.
We spotted the closest thing we could track down for your clear save the dates, with the rounded corners and beautiful writing at ExceptionalEvent365 and we’re loving the way these acrylic save-the-dates look. I hope it helps!
