Amanda and Tanner are tying the knot this weekend, so we thought you’d love to see their Wilmington beach engagement session! Their story along with beautiful photographs by Chris Lang Photography will bring a warm smile to your face. Amanda tells us, “Tanner and I met three and half years ago when I was completing my student teaching. I was interning with the fifth grade team, the same team Tanner’s mom (Dee) taught on. At the time Tanner was in the Air Force and stationed in Charleston, SC. One Friday afternoon in February, I was checking folders in Dee’s classroom. Tanner was coming home for the weekend to see his family. When he got into town he decided to go surprise his mom at school. When Tanner walked into the classroom we instantly had a connection. Tanner brought his guitar with him and sang for the class…. and I stopped checking folders. That afternoon Tanner got my number from his mom and asked me to have coffee with him that weekend. We went to Port City Java on Sunday and sat and talked for hours, it felt like we had known each other our whole life. After that, we spent almost every weekend together either in Wilmington or Charleston. Eventually Tanner moved back home to Wilmington and we dated for 3 years before he finally popped the question!”
