We love featuring destination weddings, especially those beautiful Venice weddings! Meet our bride and groom, Kaye and Craig. You may want to know a little bit about our couple: they’re both from the UK and English teachers. They wanted a destination wedding in Italy but were unsure about how to plan it. That’s when they contacted Jayne Seddon from Venice Events. Jayne and the team at Venice Events went over every detail and made their wedding a joy to plan. Jayne tells us, “Craig wanted from the very beginning, their wedding to be perfect for Kaye. They wanted an intimate and charming wedding that included 22 guests. The wedding occurred over two days starting with a civil ceremony in Palazzo Cavalli on the first day. On the second day at their lovely villa on the Lido island in the Venetian lagoon, I conducted a very special moving symbolic ceremony for Kaye and Craig. The wedding had a lovely literary theme, with their rings being presented on a first edition book of Alice in Wonderland by Kaye’s brother. “Their symbolic ceremony and reception took place in the beautifully kept gardens of the villa, where they enjoyed very tasty food prepared by the Italian chef who also owns the villa.”
“Carefully prepared canapés included fried vegetables, followeded by a special lemon and rosemary risotto served in halved lemons, eggplant parmigiana, pasta with fresh tomatoes and mozzarella, roasted chicken with artichokes and to finish a delicious yogurt sponge wedding cake served with berries and vanilla ice-cream! Prosecco and Bellini’s of course were plentiful.”
