This Real Wedding is one for the books! Grab a cup of coffee + get ready to take some notes for your own wedding because Carrie and Derrick’s day was absolutely beautiful!
Captured by Eric Boneske Photography, this Brooklyn Arts Center wedding featured dazzling details and incredible style.
From getting ready with the bride before the ceremony to the cool getaway car following the reception, everything from this wedding flowed with personal touches and sweet handmade details.
Brooklyn Arts Center Wedding
The ceremony and reception took place at the stunning Brooklyn Arts Center wedding venue. As you can see in the photos, the beauty of the venue speaks for itself. It’s located in the heart of Wilmington, North Carolina. (See their website for more details.)
The bridal party got ready together and wore matching lace robes; the blue VW bus in back was a fun photo-op. Looks like everyone was relaxed and had a great time celebrating before the ceremony!
The bride wore a pair of Steve Madden Carrson open sandals, combining comfort with modern bridal style. Prior to the ceremony, the bride read her vows from a handmade vows book.
These succulents are one of my favorite details (you can get the planters here).
And when the bride’s father saw his daughter for the first time… it was a beautiful moment to capture!
I really like the attire for the groom: a tailored suit in blue, a neutral necktie, a coordinating boutonniere, and a handsome watch. Perfection.
The bride wore her hair in a beautiful half up, half down hairstyle; I like the way she paired flowers in her hair for a natural look.
They make such a wonderful couple!
During the ceremony, the bride wore a gorgeous veil with lace on the edges; they had a large wedding party; and they even had their dog participate in the festivities!
The bridesmaid dresses are stunning: I like the floor length and the neutral color, plus bridesmaids could choose their favorite style to wear.
And the groomsmen looked handsome in suits and coordinating ties.
The youngest attendants in the wedding also stole the show! A beautiful junior bridesmaid, flower girl, and ring bearer charmed guests during the ceremony procession. The flower girl carried a sign that read, “Uncle Cruz, Here Comes Your Bride”! (Sign available here.)
The father of the bride walked the bride down the aisle. I love this indoor venue; candlelight and greenery romantically lined the aisle.
I love seeing the groom’s face when he watches the bride walk down the aisle. It’s such a unique moment of the wedding to capture.
MARRIED!
A funny photo-op and sweet kiss of the bride and groom, along with some detail shots follow below.
They used Ball jelly jars with floating candles as part of the table decorations, along with natural greenery.
Floral arrangements in mason jars made stunning centerpieces.
A wood reserved sign added a rustic touch at the ceremony.
What an amazing wedding! Best wishes to you, Carrie and Derrick, on a happily ever after. :)
