Erin and Dedrick’s Chesapeake Bay wedding was a blast! Their wedding was this past May at a private residence on Tilgham Island. The island’s location on Maryland’s Eastern Shore was a remarkable place for their Chesapeake Bay wedding. Erin and Dedrick had a few DIY touches including hand-painted driftwood signs, glass windows painted for table seating, paper lanterns, and lighted mason jars. Their Baltimore wedding photographer, Dennis from Dennis Drenner Photographs, did an amazing job capturing the day’s feel. See the photos and revel in this Chesapeake Bay wedding…
Chesapeake Bay Wedding
Their photographer Dennis tells us, “The ceremony was held on a wide lawn sloping down into the Chesapeake Bay, and the reception was in a nearby tent, overlooking the water. There was a bit of nervousness at the beginning of the day as summer storms threatened, but the clouds made a right turn before the ceremony and everyone stayed dry.”
“One of the highlights of the day was when Erin’s father presented her with a handmade wooden box during his speech. He had crafted the box from parts of an tree trunk on their family property, and the surprise left the bride in tears.”
“At the end of the evening, another surprise came when some family friends showed up in the family sailboat, allowing the new couple to make a dramatic departure, sailing away into the night.”
