We are excited to feature Andy Wakeman Photography, based in Traverse City, Michigan!
The following photographs were taken at Shelly and Chris’ wedding at The beautiful Wellington Inn this past July 2009. The bride describes, “Marriage is timeless. Ultimately, this philosophy inspired our wedding. The Wellington Inn has stood steadfast as a staple in Traverse City for over a century. We wished to capture the longevity and legacy of this mansion as a defining component of our relationship.
The Wellington Inn allowed us to blend a contemporary ceremony with a vintage setting. The eight classic bedrooms, antique furnishings, third story ballroom and massive porch pillars perfectly captured our matrimonial dreams with elegance, style, comfort and class.
Our wardrobe attire shared classic and vintage themes. The custom designed wedding dress and head piece showcased a shoulder feather sash and unique bird caged veil. The tuxedos were concentrated on classic colors and clean lines. Locally, The Underground Cheesecake Company created a three tiered boxed cheesecake uniquely decorated by The Floral Underground. Derek, owner of the Floral Underground, brought a whimsical ambiance to the event with his square vase floating orchid arrangements, unique twig caged flower bouquets and one of a kind pocket boutonnières.”
