We are excited to feature the following photographs by Priceless Photography taken at Julia & Dan’s beautiful Michigan wedding.
The bride and groom added many personal touches to their wedding day. Julia recalls, “Most of our decorations were brought back from Bali by me. Our guest names were hand painted on rocks that we collected from all over our property with their table name on the back. I made 180 paper lotus flowers for guest favors that sat on top of chocolates. We found tea light candle holders for the chocolates to sit in.
We had a guest sign-in book that I put together through Kodak’s website of all our travel pictures. We wrote our vows and Dan presented his vows using “mudras.” Our centerpieces were made by making boxes, filling them with sand, and collecting sea shells from the Gili Islands in Indonesia. We used Bonsai Trees ordered from Bonsai Boy of New York. We plan on buying a Bonsai tree every year from them for our anniversary. I had a henna artist come up from Grand Rapids, Michigan to paint Henna on my hands and feet. A Lotus flower and the sacred “Aum” symbol was painted on the palm of my hands. My dress was hand made in Pakistan. We had a friend, Mick Croon of Sandpoint, ID, play our music.
“Our friends, Lance and Dana Roman, opened up their home on Lake Michigan to host our wedding. We had a “rehearsal dinner” barbecue at Lions Park in Empire. We cooked all barbecue foods and invited our whole wedding to come join us, dogs and all. Dan made a slideshow of all of our travel pictures in 2009 for the guests. Our “just married” kayak was quite the hit. My brother, Ryan Vinciguerra, made an absolute amazing Sangria that the guests raved about! My bouquet and floral hair piece was made by clay casting from St. Jude’s Creations. She did an amazing job.”
