Hemingway House Wedding
Filip tells us about the Bride, “Morgan lives in Clarksville, TN and is a veterinarian at a small animal practice. She received her Bachelors of Science at Middle Tennessee State University and then moved to Knoxville, TN to attend veterinary school at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine (GO VOLS!). She enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends, family and her sweet cat, Mischa.”
About the Groom: “Matthew lives in Clarksville, TN and is an operations manager at FedEx Ground Nashville. He has worked at FedEx for 11 years now. He enjoys kayaking the Red River, grilling, TN Vols football and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.”
How they Met: “Matthew and Morgan are high school sweethearts . They began dating in May 2000 when Morgan was a freshman and Matthew was a junior.”
Who Proposed and How: “For 4 years they had a long distance relationship while Morgan was in veterinary school in Knoxville, TN. Matthew lived at home in Nashville but drove to Knoxville every weekend to see her and their cat, Mischa. On March 2, 2012 he showed up at her apartment before she was supposed to arrive home and surprised her when she got there. When she arrived, there was a huge bouquet of flowers and a new collar around Mischa’s neck with a heart charm that said “Will you marry my dad?” Well of course she would!”
“Morgan almost ruined the surprise that day, because the weather was very bad with tornado warnings. She came home for lunch and almost did not go back to her internship due to the weather. Finally the weather calmed and she left, allowing Matthew to continue his plan.”
Why Key West: “In June 2012, Matthew and Morgan wanted to take a trip after Morgan had graduated from veterinary school. They wanted to go to a place they had never been before and make a road trip out of it. So Key West it was! After a 19 hour drive from Nashville to Key West, they finally made it and LOVED everything about Key West. During that trip, they toured the Hemingway Home for the first time and at that time would have never dreamed that they would be married there 2 years later!”
Why Filda Konec Photography: “Morgan accidentally came across Filda Konec’s blog when looking for Key West wedding photographers and instantly fell in love with the photos and knew she had to have them. She emailed them immediately and prayed that May 4, 2014 was available! Surprisingly it was, so she booked them right away and knew it was one of the best decisions they had made planning their wedding day!”
What’s Planned for the Future: “Just enjoying being newlyweds and traveling, especially to Key West!”
