If you’re looking for destination Italian weddings, you’ve found it! Janice and Steve’s wedding was a magnificent event that took place in Sorrento, Italy. One of the most breathtaking details from their wedding were the incredible views of the Bay of Naples. Their wedding was planned and coordinated by Jayne from Venice Events. Jayne’s an expert in coordinating weddings in Italy. She tells us all about Janice and Steve’s wedding in the following story…
Janice and Steve’s Destination Italian Wedding
“Janice and Steve enjoyed an amazing week of celebrations, starting with ‘hen’ and ‘stag’ evenings in local restaurants (the ‘hen’s definitely outdid the stags by the ladies dancing until the early hours in a small typical night club), the evening before their wedding was spent with all their family and friends in a lemon-grove restaurant – a relaxed evening enjoying local specialties.”
“The bride looked stunning, and bridesmaid in beautiful mint green, with the gentlemen in matching cravats. Janice’s bouquet had been carefully matched to suit the color.”
“Their marriage was celebrated in the romantic Cloisters of San Francesco in the center of Sorrento and they then enjoyed a stroll through the narrow picturesque streets, with the locals wishing them well.”
“For their reception cocktails and lunch they chose a stunning location on the hillside overlooking the Bay of Naples, with various terraces, and formal restaurant with beautiful views. Anyone who knows Sorrento, knows it is famous for its lemons, so the finishing touches for the tables were white and yellow flowers and personalized miniature bottles of limoncello for the guests.”
“The Italian style wedding cake finished off the lunch in style with everyone agreeing it was totally lemon delicious (in fact that was its name) Photographs were taken on the terrace, and included a surprise by one of the guests who had transported his ‘drone’ to take photographs from above. After a rest at the end of the afternoon, everyone was ready to party again at another beautiful location with a view to die for, with an informal buffet, first dance (the couple were encircled by their friends) and a breathtaking sunset.”
“After their wonderful wedding, filled with love and laughter, the couple ended their week with guests enjoying a rustic restaurant up in the hills above Sorrento (with yet another wedding cake).”
“What a fabulous week ! Many guests enjoyed boat trips to the Island of Capri, or sunbathed at the Marina in Sorrento, shopping and tours along the Amalfi Coast. Certainly a week to remember!”
