This Key West styled photo shoot is sure to brighten your day! It was a warm, sunny, love-inspired day as Vlasta and Jara worked with a team of wedding photographers to create this inspiring shoot. The styled photo shoot has many intricate details you’re sure to enjoy such as a neon beach cruiser, picnic basket, mason jars, and scrumptious goodies. The wedding photography team of Filip and Mirka from Filda Konec Photography wanted to create a fairytale, eco-friendly, DIY photo session that would inspire future couples. Key West Styled Photo Shoot
One of the photographers Mirka tells us, “We picked Fort Zachary Taylor State Park for this styled session because it’s one of our favorites. We love this location for so many reasons – it offers variety of backgrounds in no distance at all. You can walk from the beach and hide in the shade of beautiful tall pine trees, you can enjoy bicycling through the park and it also offers a few short nature trails. You have a green grass area and also tall wavy grass, you may see big cruise ships docked close by and of course let’s not forget the fort by itself.”
“Let me just tell you – Vlasta is a super beautiful girl – and when I told Marie-Pierre Sanders from Studio Marie Pierre about what kind of look and session are we aiming for, she was all in. And just say yourself – isn’t Vlasta’s hair and make-up just perfect?”
“We actually wanted to rent some cool vintage double-bike from one of the many bike shops in Key West but our friends told us they have one “vintage” look at home… “…but it’s green and it has a wicker basket”, Vlasta told us. Are you kidding! Awesome!”
“I had this kind of styled session in my head for a long time so I started the hunt for the items I wanted to find early…I searched local thrift stores and always came home with something. I was aiming to use items that are not new, that are eco-friendly and can be used again. Everything you see is just that. Picnic basket – $4, round bamboo table $4, plates, ball, vase and mason jars – $0.99 each. Cheese and jam knife – $0.49 each. Fabric decoration – found all fabric and blankets at a next door yard-sale.”
“As a girl, I always adore those beautiful flower-halo (crown) pictures and decided to create one myself for Vlasta for this styled session. First, I wanted to use baby’s breath flower and when in store I also grabbed million star flower and mini white carnations and a mix of green and yellow poms, daisies and some wild flowers I don’t even know the name of. I created the flower crown from the million star flower and white carnations and loved the look.”
“We had this 1 gallon glass jug at home already so I’ve wrapped same lace fabric around it, filled it with lemonade and added some blueberries and raspberries.”
“These mason jars are from a thrift store but not totally old or vintage. I also refused to use plastic straws and used the stainless steel everlasting straws we had at home. You can buy them here (4 for $3.69).”
“When in store, I grabbed a simple mini cake with white frosting and I decorated it with yellow and green poms and some million star. The cake toppers are diy and so simple – just cut out hearts from paper box (I used a box from Dove mini ice cream bars from our recycle bin ;), glued on laced fabric (same as used for the mini bamboo table) and printed out “sweet love” words (font Typewriter). It’s taped on a wooden stick on the back. There is a ring hanging in the middle.”
“The jewelry we used to complete Vlasta’s look was just perfect and it comes from Chloe & Isabel by Lee.”
