Vintage Country Wedding
Brandi tells us, “We had so much fun planning our wedding! We both love the country and antiques, so vintage country played a big part in our planning. Kenny and I did a lot of shopping on Etsy and Ebay collecting vintage cookie stands, trays and platters. We used old crates and pitchers for card boxes and flowers. We searched the local antique stores for different things to use. We found an old trough and lined it with fabric to display our shawls for the ladies that may have been chilly and an old galvanized tub for flip flops. I made many of the signs just to give the barn our little touch. We chose mason jars and wildflowers for the centerpieces which turned out beautifully! It ended up being the absolute perfect day. We chose Armstrong Farms West Minster Preserve for it’s rustic barn and beautiful secluded scenery and we couldn’t have asked for more.
The most stressful part of planning was definitely the guest list and seating because we were limited on space inside the barn, but it worked out well. Rodger and Rachel from Rodger Obley Photography did an amazing job, especially at making us and our daughters feel comfortable while shooting pictures. Our girls loved them! Our caterer, Gardas Catering, was amazing also! We had so many compliments on the food which was so important to us. Their chicken marsala, stuffed eggplant, and salmon were the perfect choices. Our daughters wore lavender tea length dresses as the bridesmaids and my sister wore eggplant as the matron of honor. The D.J. played a mix of good dance music that got everybody up dancing. The best part was to see our daughters dancing all night and everyone enjoying themselves! Everything we planned turned out wonderful, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.”
Rodger one of their photographers tells us, “Rachel and I had a wonderful time working with Brandi, Kenny, and their daughters. When we pulled up to Armstrong Farms, we had a chance to walk through the barn before meeting with Brandi and Kenny. Rachel did a KILLER job capturing the details that Brandi worked so hard on, while I scouted out where we were going to do the creative portraits. Brandi was literally an all star bride. She changed into COWGIRL boots for pictures after the ceremony! One of my favorite things about the day was Brandi and Kenny’s willingness to have FUN during their creative portraits. Thanks for having us be part of your day!”

I was at my niece’s wedding and it was one of the most unique, beautiful experiences I’ve had in a long time. She and Kenny put their heart and soul into making it the perfect wedding for them.
Beautiful bride, lovely color choice for the bridemaids dresses; this day was so perfectly captured in these photos!
