Happy Monday! We hope you had a wonderful weekend. We’re kicking off a new week of wedding inspiration with table number ideas. Have you thought about what your table numbers will look like, or what kind of table number holders you will use? Before you pick them out, read this article! We’ve rounded up four important tips you’ll want to follow…
Table Numbers at Weddings
1. Add your own personalized twist.
Creativity is key! When you incorporate things, places, or hobbies you love, guests get a sneak peek into your unique story. For instance, consider using some of these wedding table name ideas instead of ‘numbers’ for a punch of personalization.
2. Incorporate your theme.
Planning a beach wedding? Use beach inspired table numbers for your reception tables.
1 – sea urchin table numbers | eco-lectic events
2 – starfish beach table numbers | expressions floral
3 – nautical knot table number holders | karen’s wedding shop
4 – seashell beach table number | gallery360
5 – sailboat table numbers | third cloud to the left
Wine wedding theme? Here are a few inspiring finds…
1 – wine bottle sign holder | homes and weddings
2 – tall table number holder | sukaro
3 – wine table number sign | theritzyrose
4 – kraft table number wine bottle wraps | golden silhouette
3. Make sure the table numbers stand upright.
Your table numbers should stand out and be upright on their own. While leaning a table number against your centerpiece can work, in outdoor weddings (or if the centerpiece isn’t strong enough) your table numbers can fall down. A table number set against a picture frame with a stand is one easy way to ensure your table number stays put.
4. Don’t forget escort cards!
And, last but not least, don’t forget escort cards for guests! An escort card tells a guest where to be seated upon entering the reception. If you need escort card display ideas, you can find twenty-five of them here!
Happy Planning!

So we are having a Chicago themed wedding and are going to do famous Chicagoans as our table names. Do you think it’s better to have numbers as well as the names (like in the picture you included) or just the names?
