In the past few years, as this trend has taken off, we have seen inexpensive bridesmaid pajamas that are poorly made with economical materials that itch, shrink, are too short, tight, or way too large. Boxy even! Those budget fabrics are not built to last and bridesmaids will not be able to wear them much longer than the wedding day itself.

Another thing to look out for: “one-size fits all”. You will find this most often with robes, but that is due to the way a robe fits. Bridesmaid robes and pajamas are two different outfits: robes are OK with one size, while you really need to choose pj sets with specific sizing and/or order bridesmaid pajamas plus size for a comfier fit in larger sizes.

• How did the bridesmaid pajama sets look upon arrival?

• Did they fit true to size? Too big? Too small?

• Was there a weird smell?
