If you’re looking for a wedding theme that cohesively blends sweet southern charm, whimsical décor, dramatic details, and a warm, inviting atmosphere, a tea themed wedding may be perfect for you! Today, we’re sharing the ultimate tea themed wedding shoot which features impressive details such as tea cups suspended with colorful ribbons, whimsical china patterns, delicious cake pops, vibrant place settings, a sun-filled Savannah backdrop, an adorable bride and groom, and more! This inspiration shoot was created by dynamic duo Izzy of Izzy Hudgins Photography, who captured brilliant imagery, and Audrey of French Knot Weddings who styled the shoot and provided handmade wedding details, decoration, and accessories. Based in Savannah, this tea themed wedding shoot included additional local vendors such as Madame Chrysanthemum (floral design), Loren Laney of Femme Fatale Salon (hair and makeup), Lillian’s China (antique china rental), and Bleubelle Bridal (beautiful bridal gown “Paloma Blanca“). So, without further adieu, we present this inspiring shoot… take it away, Audrey!
The Ultimate Tea Themed Wedding
Audrey tells us, “When Lynn, of Lillian’s China, told us about her antique china collection and rental business, we couldn’t wait to check it out. With a dining room table awash with beautiful plates and delicate teacups, inspiration struck. What if we did a wedding shoot with china for the décor? Plates are an integral part of any wedding, for eating, but with such intricate patterns, they should be displayed. We created this dramatic arch with eclectic combinations of place settings to bring in all the color and refinement. Lynn informed us we picked the most expensive and kitschy patterns in her collection for our vision. Expensive kitschy taste… that sounds like us! So with the help of some other talented Savannah artisans, Izzy Hudgins and I created this shoot. Elegance and refinement, with a little whimsy.”

[...] Audrey and I decided to take the mismatched china idea one step further than just place settings. How amazing would it be to decorate a wedding completely in china?! And so we did!Madame Chrysanthemum made our fabulous table arrangement and bouquet. Be sure to check her out, she’s the best in town.My lovely friends Aaron and Michelle graciously modeled for us. Bleubelle Bridal provided the dress.A big thank you goes out to Loren Laney of Femme Fatale Salon for doing Michelle’s hair and makeup. Instead of a wedding cake I took a stab at making cake pops. Those things are tricky.Audrey is so great because she is always coming up with ways to keep the guys happy. She can custom make ties, bow ties, suspenders and bouts that reflect your guy’s interests!Lillian’s China will make your tables look divine.Doesn’t the silver make adorable seating card holders? And this a perfect DIY project – I simply printed the “names” on kraft paper! The most amazing part of the whole shoot was the wedding arch decorated completely in antique china. It was a logistical feat brought to life by super awesome Audrey. It was simply gorgeous and innovative and we didn’t break a thing! We were lucky enough to have a full feature of this inspiration shoot over at Emmaline Bride – you can view it here! [...]
