Hey, loves! Are you wondering where to buy floral bridesmaid robes your crew will love? Today we’ll show you our faves from the sweet and super-talented Kate of Modern Kimono Robes! We’re also answering a few questions about bridesmaid robes from Abigail in our Ask Emmaline inbox. These are great questions we think every bride may be wondering, too, before ordering your bridal party robes. She writes,
Hi Emmaline Bride team! I hope you can help me with a few questions about robes for my bridesmaids. I want to know where to buy floral bridesmaid robes that look cute and trendy. However, my bridesmaids are all very different sizes from petite to very tall and XS to 2XL. I want everyone to feel comfortable wearing the robes the morning of the wedding. I also wanted to know if you have any suggestions for bridesmaid robes with extra length (my Maid of Honor is 5’10”) and should bridesmaids wear something under the robes to make them feel more comfortable? And last question, should my flower girl get a robe, too? Thanks for your help on this!
Floral Bridesmaid Robes
Hey, Abigail, fantastic questions you have there! First things first: where to buy floral bridesmaid robes. You’ll find TONS of them online now, as they became quite popular in the last few years and have really doubled in the wedding space; we work with a handful of really amazing Etsy artists who create floral bridesmaid robes (you can see them in The Marketplace). Depending on your style preference, there are a few different places to shop; today we’re focusing on one shop in particular named Modern Kimono Robes. Kate from MKR is amazing to work with and her collection features one-of-a-kind patterns and designs you won’t find anywhere else.
These chic floral bridesmaid robes are made in the USA, the fit is amazing, and you’ll really love the quality fabrics she uses. Her shop came to mind when you mentioned where to buy floral bridesmaid robes WITH extra length, as well as a vast array of sizes; Kate specializes in custom orders, so extra length, large sizes, petite sizes, calf-length, etc. are all a part of her collection. She strives to ensure her bridesmaid robes are ultra comfy and flattering so they’ll be enjoyed for years to come.
Bridesmaid robes are fun to wear with your bridal party the morning of the wedding, while sipping on mimosas or coffee (with donut rings!)
The patterns from Modern Kimono Robes are exceptionally stylish. We’ve seen so many floral bridesmaid robes from many different stores, but these fabrics and patterns are unique and very chic.
My favorite of the moment: these purple floral bridesmaid robes! I love this color.
Your girls can wear the same floral bridesmaid robes styles to match each other…
… or you can select a unique pattern for each bridesmaid to wear.
Extra Length Floral Bridesmaid Robes
I know exactly what you mean about the extra length for your tall Maid of Honor (I’m 5’11” myself, so I hear ya!) and I always recommend getting extra length on robes for taller individuals. This is especially important for functionality. If you want your girls to wear their cute floral bridesmaid robes while getting ready before the wedding — in a group with photography, nonetheless — you’ll want the robes to fit securely, with enough length to keep ’em covered while getting ready.
What to Wear Under These Floral Bridesmaid Robes
Regarding what to wear under the bridesmaid robes… another great question! I would recommend you let your bridesmaids know they can wear a cami (very stretchy that can be pulled down and off, rather than above their heads, which may mess up hair and makeup) and a pair of leggings underneath. This way, they’ll feel even more covered up if they’d like, and if they feel comfortable wearing just the robe, then so be it. At least everyone will feel confident being photographed during those “getting ready” moments.
And… last but not least, your flower girl. You can give her a robe to match the floral bridesmaid robes for your girls, like this:
She can wear it over a pair of her favorite pajamas, or even a set like this! These pjs are also great for junior bridesmaids.
I hope I answered all of your questions (and you, dear readers!) but if not, feel free to reach out to our Ask Emmaline inbox.
