Fall is right around the corner! It’s time to get our eyes set on fall weddings: we’re kicking off this season with the most romantic wedding centerpieces with lanterns for fall! And if you’re like me, that romantic glow means cozy, which equates to snuggling up under a blanket and watching the stars in a moonlight sky and dancing on blades of grass.
Okay, maybe that’s a little dramatic.
Wedding centerpieces with lanterns are one of the biggest trends for fall because they’re:
1) beautiful, that’s an easy one,
2) easy to set up and reasonably-priced,
3) totally functional
Instead of most centerpieces that are never, ever used again, i.e. flowers that wilt, the greenery that shrivels up, wood slices that you run out of spaces to use them in, etc., lanterns? Oh, you can always use a lantern! And if you run out of places to put the lanterns, or you don’t want, ya know, 20 lanterns at home, you can give them away to special guests at your wedding.
Everyone gets a lantern! Well, the moms, grandma, your aunts, and a few cousins and BFFs. :) The lucky ones get to go home with a brand new lantern.
A friend of mine got married a few years back and she had these gorgeous LED trees as part of her centerpiece design.
We were her wedding planners, so we’re a bit biased, but these things were beautiful.
After the wedding, she gave the light-up trees to favorite people of hers (and we got one, score!) I can’t tell you how many times I use that beautiful tree in home decor. It’s on display all the time.
See? Money well-spent.
So, today we’re talking about wedding centerpieces with lanterns. We’re showing you how to use lanterns, what to use them with as additional accents (i.e. wood slices, flowers, a little greenery, etc.), and where to buy lanterns for wedding centerpieces.
Let’s get started!
