How to Design a Custom Engagement Ring Online
Engagement ring shopping can feel overwhelming: buying jewelry with pushy salespeople, limited choices, and high price-points can make even a savvy shopper feel like jewelry buying is a challenge.
Now that you can buy online from the comfort of your home, buying an engagement ring has never been easier. But we’ll take it one step further! Now, rather than simply buying online, you have the opportunity to design a custom engagement ring from start to finish. You can design your own ring and have it shipped right to your door. With Jewlr.com, it’s easy to customize your own ring and it is affordable, too.
Today we’ll tell you how to design your own ring online at Jewlr and show you some examples of engagement rings designed by their studio. Let’s get started!
How to Design a Custom Engagement Ring
1. SELECT A STYLE
To begin, just navigate to the engagement rings section on their website. It’s easy to find or click here. Here you’ll find every style of engagement ring and something for everyone, including our favorite style: the Halo Collection. For our example, we’ll focus on Halo engagement rings and how easy it is to personalize yours from start to finish.
We’ve selected our style – Halo – specifically the bezel halo diamond engagement ring and began personalizing it.
2. PERSONALIZE IT
While lovely in white gold, I wanted to see it in other metals. I love how you can customize the ring in real time, choosing a different metal or engraving choice and seeing an instant update to your design.
I upgraded the diamond to a 1.00 carat size, and chose one with ‘better cut’ and ‘better clarity’. I changed the white gold to rose gold and selected the 18k option for richer color. Then I added an engraving in a cursive font. I chose our wedding date.
Here’s the updated ring!
Isn’t it gorgeous?
Once you finalize how you want your ring to look, choose your ring size (see their helpful ring sizing chart), choose your ring box style (you can even upgrade to a personalized box), and add to cart.
That’s it! Ring shopping = done!
Or my favorite feature: “send a hint”. This is great for when you want to give a little nudge and share what kind of styles you like best. :)
3. GET IT VIA FEDEX
When you order, it will tell you exactly when you can expect your custom engagement ring via FEDEX. In addition to how easy it is to order, you’ll enjoy the benefits of:
o free shipping
o free gift
o free resizing
o 90 day returns
o one year warranty
o made in USA and Canada
Since I was so impressed with their vast collection, I wanted to share other engagement rings that really stood out. You can use as a template and add a personalized touch by changing the metal or engraving the inside of the band.

Oval Cut Gemstone Engagement Ring
I love the gemstone engagement ring collection because you can choose from so many gemstone options. Here is an example in blue sapphire, which works beautifully as the bride’s “something blue”, too.
In one click, you can see your custom engagement ring with a different stone. I chose ’emerald’ as a second example.
Or choose something simple. If you have a small budget, consider a white gemstone instead, like white Swarovski zirconia, shown below.
Flared Two Stone Engagement Ring
The two-stone engagement ring collection is beautiful. This flared style ring is one of my top picks.
Classic Solitaire Engagement Ring
And last but not least, the classic, traditional, always-on-trend style: the solitaire.
You can never go wrong with a solitaire.
