What is Considered Modest?
A modest style is one that typically covers the arms (or part of the arms, like a short sleeve); chest area, back, and has a length that hits at the knee or lower. The key is to feel covered, but that doesn’t mean you can’t also find a flattering fit.
I found a great combination of dresses that offer style and elegance, while being appropriate for your needs. I found these at Lulu’s. While you can shop at a few different places, I think they offer the most versatility, color options, sizes, and lengths. In addition, they are the most affordable with most dresses coming in under $100.
The key to finding what you’re looking for in terms of modest attire is by filtering your search when shopping. Select ‘mock neck’ or ‘high neck’ styles; opt for short sleeve, elbow, or long-length sleeves; and select a high-low, midi, or maxi length skirt.
