Cara and Shaw’s Queensland engagement session and wedding is our first combined wedding feature. Not only are we excited to bring you a combined engagement session and wedding, but one that is from Brisbane, Queensland in Australia. Capturing Cara and Shaw’s Queensland engagement session and wedding is Adam and Fiona from Deep Grey Photography.
Adam and Fiona tell us, “Summertime in New Farm Park, Brisbane, Queensland was the ideal spot for Cara and Shaw to celebrate their engagement as the sunset radiates through the fig trees. The warm weather was an invitation to let their playful sides show and the love between them glow! Relaxed and candid, a stroll through the adjacent Powerhouse building where architecture of the past meets new allowed the couple to reflect on the park bench together about their past journey and the new adventures awaiting them.”
“Cara and Shaw were married on beautiful Stradbroke Island in December. It was a windy, wild day (as you will see) so the ceremony was moved inside. The rain cleared up enough to duck outside for a few minutes here and there to take stunning albeit windswept photos down on the beach. Cara’s simple yet elegant strapless gown compliment the relaxed location and their love for one another could brighten any cloudy day.”
“On each table at the reception, was a gift of a potted plant grown lovingly in Shaw and Cara’s garden. Instructions stating “A little bit of us, home grown in a pot for you, the winner of scissors paper rock, will reign true.” They had lots of little heartfelt, homemade touches at their wedding which is always nice to see.”
