Ashland Virginia Engagement
Zack tells us, “A train station, a farm, fields of wild flowers, an old church pew, a homemade bouquet and most importantly a loving couple: Josh and Courtney’s session had everything needed to celebrate their engagement with joy and style. Josh and Courtney are high school sweethearts whose relationship has continued to grow stronger with time. I got together with them in Ashland, Virginia, a little town just outside of Richmond. We planned to meet on a summer evening exactly one year before Josh and Courtney’s wedding day, not knowing that it would turn out to be one of the hottest days of the year!”
“As the sun began to dip, the temperature was still well over 100 degrees, and I feared that we might have to reschedule. We decided to stick it out, and I’m so glad we did! Josh and Courtney were barely phased by the heat, and the warm summer light lit them perfectly. We spent some time at the historic train station before heading out to a family friend’s farm.”
“The farm provided a stunning landscape for portraits, and little details like an old church pew and a homemade wildflower bouquet made this shoot really memorable for us!”

What a beautiful couple! This whole photo shoot just screams romance and a forever kind of love! I adore her dress — anyone know where I can find one similar to it?!
Love the church pew!
