Aubrey and David’s Washington DC wedding is stunning. The wedding greens, those beautiful poms, gorgeous dress, the elegant ceremony and reception setting … you’ll love this wedding! Their photographer, Stacey from Stacey Vaeth Photography, did an amazing job capturing this couple’s love for one another and the celebration. After a few words from this bride and photographer, you’ll see what we mean!
Aubrey, the bride, tells us, “Aside from the perfect weather and amazing venue, I think what made the wedding special to us was how we were able to blend two cultures – Persian and American – throughout the wedding and reception. We had elements of both in the ceremony, the food, and even the dancing. And, of course, having all of our family and friends together in one place and witnessing them “blend” with each other was also extremely special to us. We also loved that having the wedding at the Meridian House allowed us to have an urban wedding with an intimate feel.”
Stacey, the photographer, provides us with some additional details about the day: “Aubrey and David had the most beautiful day. The mother of the groom hand-designed the gorgeous Persian table for the ceremony. Relatives and friends from both sides of the family were integrated into the marriage vows, and also continued to play key roles throughout the evening, from delivering hilarious toasts to keeping everyone on the dance floor. The Meridian House, of course, was a spectacular venue, and their weather could not have been more perfect.
But what really stood out to me was how laid back both bride and groom were throughout the day. They trusted their vendors to do the jobs that they were hired to do, let go, and just enjoyed themselves. I think that energy really translates through their photographs. In her beautiful toast to her new husband, Aubrey said to David: “Thank you for giving me the wedding of my dreams.” Well said!

I love that dancing shot + those green pomanders totally represent spring!
I can agree the pomanders are one of my favorite parts! The dancing shot is incredible. I love the greenery in the bridesmaids’ bouquets and the pashminas all cozied up together in the basket. :)
