This handmade Connecticut wedding is something special you’re sure to love! The couple, Michele and Nick, craftily worked handmade details into their Connecticut wedding to make it pop. Their wedding ceremony was held at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church (in Avon); a bold reception followed at the premier Farmington Gardens. Michele and Nick’s wedding was captured avidly by Michelle from Michelle Gardella Photography. Find out – from the bride! – which handmade details made it into the wedding after the click…
Handmade Connecticut Wedding
The bride, Michele, tells us, “Handmade aspects included the lavender bundles for the escort cards, the printed photos of our family weddings the signs for the drinks, and the sparklers. (Nick made the sparklers while I was getting ready for my maid of honor’s wedding. He’d be pretty excited if someone else used that idea!) For wedding favors, we ordered favor bags and filled them with handmade Italian cookies. To entertain guests, Nick made the ladder golf set. Some of the special items I used was a handkerchief, which my grandmother gave to my mom to give to me before she passed away. I used the handkerchief as a bouquet wrap. Nick’s wedding band used recast gold from his late grandfather’s wedding band, which was custom made in his hometown of Camden, Maine. And, last but not least, the old car was special as it has been my grandfather’s car forever; he even drove my parents to their wedding in it.”
