We’re excited to share a beautiful Union Station Indianapolis wedding with you this afternoon! Meet Leslie & Josh, college sweethearts, who tied the knot on October 8, 2011 with a ceremony at St. Luke’s Catholic Church followed by an elegant reception at the Grand Hall Union Station in Indianapolis. For styling of their event, they selected Kim King-Smith Events LLC who did a fantastic job creating an elegant, romantic atmosphere, captured by Megan and Tim King of Megelaine Images. Leslie & Josh’s wedding tied in their favorite color palette of midnight blue and yellow, while unique elements such as train ticket save the dates, a trolley ride through campus, and a rickshaw grand exit (with sparklers held by guests) made for a memorable day. Kim tells us, “Leslie and Josh’s love story began upon meeting at their alma mater, Butler University. The friendship grew into a romance filled with joy and love! When the couple became engaged they immediately came to us to begin the design of their wedding. They had two details in place: the church, St. Luke’s Catholic Church, and the reception, Grand Hall/Union Station, a historic train station located downtown in Indianapolis.” Read on to see how this beautiful wedding unfolded…

Kim recalls, “As guests arrived, they were greeted by a huge ice luge carved into a train engine. Guests gathered to view it and grab a signature drink, the Tarble Tini (named after the new Mr. and Mrs. Tarble).”
The guests settled in to enjoy a beautiful dinner while dancing began. The bride’s dad even played the piano and sang for the couple! How sweet!
The dancing lasted all night long…
… and so did the photo booth!
Kim recalls the last big moment of the night: “Guests grabbed sparklers that ignited against the midnight blue velvet skies like shooting stars as the Bride and Groom jumped on to a rickshaw and headed for their final destination: Happily Ever After!”

As always, Kim King Smith did an amazing job planning and designing. The bright yellow flowers were gorgeous and I loved the pop of blue for the cake table linen. Looks like the bridal party had a blast too!
I loved designing the flowers for this wedding. Such a beautiful couple and the Grand Plaza is such an amazing venue for a weding.
We loved photographing this wedding for Leslie & Josh. Along with Kim King Smith Events, LLC, they did an amazing job planning and executing the decor.
