Jessica and Adam’s Winter-Themed DIY Wedding

The state of Florida, especially south Florida, is a beautiful and warm place this time of year. It is free from snow and cold and it warms our hearts that Jessica and Adam, the bride and groom, did such an amazing job bringing the beautiful characteristics of winter into their very own winter-themed backyard wedding venue. The photographer Stephanie from EMinDee Images captured their winter-themed wedding details perfectly. Stephanie tells us…

“This couple built up their entire back yard into a Winter Wonderland for their wedding… from ceremony to reception. Adam is very handy, and Jessica is a talented artist and art teacher. Adam built the beautiful arbor for their ceremony and helped Jessica decorate it with fabric and beading. They built by hand (not a kit) an impressive tree bar on a platform with lighting, decor, and foot rails to use for the reception. Adam built the dance floor, and Jessica painted it. Jessica made the table centerpieces using vases, coffee filters, crystals and glitter… they were very pretty. The dance floor and backyard were lit with Christmas tree lights and the beautiful decorative coffee filter flowers Jessica made to hang from the lights. Everything was put together to carry on their winter theme. It was a wonderful experience for me as a photographer because I was included in their design and layout process during the months before the wedding. The transformation was amazing. It was truly impressive to see so many friends and family helping the day of the wedding… everything from setting up the food, to finishing touches with the decorating, to valet parking the cars. It was a magical night.”
