We have a new Ask Emmaline question from bride-to-be, Lindsey. She asks,
Hi Emmaline Bride team, I have a question. Where can I buy a brooch bouquet? Do you know of any reputable sources? I’ve searched on eBay and Etsy but there are so many. Thank you for your help.
Great question, Lindsey! It can be overwhelming to figure out where to buy a brooch bouquet when there are so many sellers — that’s such a good point! To help, here are a handful of fantastic places to buy a brooch bouquet or brooch bouquets for your wedding…
Before we talk about where to buy brooch bouquets, let’s go over what a brooch bouquet is.
What is a brooch bouquet?
A brooch bouquet is (duh, I know) a bouquet made of brooches! It’s as simple as that–but that’s not all! Each brooch bouquet is completely handmade and intricately designed with vintage brooches in unique shapes and sizes. Each brooch bouquet is completely bespoke and results in an elegant round bouquet brimming with texture and color that really pops.
Should I buy a brooch bouquet for each bridesmaid, or just myself?
Some brides opt to buy brooch bouquet sets for the entire wedding party, while others buy a brooch bridal bouquet for themselves. It really depends on your vision (and your budget!) We tend to see more brides buy brooch bouquet designs individually as a bridal bouquet, but it’s really up to you. Your bridesmaids can carry any type of flower bouquet you decide, whether it be fresh, an alternative bouquet, or a brooch bouquet.

Brooch bouquets have become quite popular in recent years, as it is an eco friendly way to re-purpose old brooches and make them like new again. Alternatively, brides are also finding ways to use heirloom brooches from grandmothers and great-grandmothers as a functional and chic wedding day accessory.
Many of these artists design brooch bouquets from their own stash of found and recycled brooches; however, if you have a particular brooch (or a collection) you’d like to use, just contact them for a custom order. They can make a custom brooch bouquet using your brooches as part of its design for a one-of-a-kind piece.
Should I buy a brooch bouquet or make my own?
You can certainly make your own brooch bouquet, but they’re really tough to make and require a lot of intricacies. That’s why we recommend you buy a brooch bouquet rather than DIYing your own. However, if you do want to make your own, you’ll need this brooch bouquet armature support structure, along with tons of brooches: you can source your own brooches in a variety of sizes, shapes, colors, and more in bulk here and here. It looks like a fun project, for sure; I’d love to make my own someday! Until then, I’ll just be awe-inspired by the artists who are making some seriously gorgeous works of art. On to the list!
