Hi, Alexandra! Fantastic question — and good idea decorating your wedding bar. It’s one area many couples overlook, yet one of the easiest to decorate. I love the signage idea for a signature cocktail, and hey, swizzle sticks are always a good idea! You asked about printed napkins: I think they’re a great idea. Guests can take one with each beverage and it makes a really nice touch. We did some digging on the topic of printed napkins, and here’s what we found to answer your questions.

What size printed napkins should you buy?

The best size of napkins for your bar is a cocktail napkin. Cocktail napkins are square and measure approximately 4.75″ – 5″ in size.

How many napkins do you need to buy?

With 200 guests, estimate one napkin per person and add an additional twenty-five printed napkins — so you’ll need 225 printed napkins. It’s true that not every guest will drink, and not every guest will take a napkin; however, you’ll have plenty for guests who do take one (and if you have any left over, printed napkins are at least functional to use at home). For every wedding, I always estimate one cocktail napkin per person (plus twenty-five extra). It seems to be the perfect amount.
