Tis the season to be jolly…. and one of my favorite things to do this time of year is pick out Christmas cards to send to family and friends! You, too? :)
This may or may not include trying to get everyone to wear matching outfits, finding a good backdrop, figuring out which photo I like and then taking forever to design it into a holiday card.
I’ve had trouble designing cards at other places, but never with Minted. I am tech-savvy when it comes to many things, but for designing things like cards? I’m not a pro. So when I tell you it is REALLY easy to do, believe it! It’s easy to drag and drop photos in to your favorite card design and then edit the wording to anything you’d like it to say. And they have such a beautiful collection of designs from independent artists with the latest trends like gold-foil and hanging ornament cards! (Love these.)
You can even choose the kind of cardstock — a lighter feel for an affordable option, a heavier paper for premium quality — and you can choose different cut-outs, too. Some holiday cards even have an ornament style, which is a really cool way to snap a beloved photo and hang it on your tree (and send it to family to do the same!)
Year after year, it’s nice to look back on those cards, isn’t it?
Well, this year, if you’re celebrating your engagement or you’re trying to put your kids in matching outfits and trying to get them all to smile at the same time, you should check out the holiday cards they offer. If you’re newly engaged, you can even announce your engagement with holiday cards and share some of your favorite pictures from your engagement photo shoot. Instead of “The Andersons”, you can include “The Soon-to-Be Andersons” or “Alex & Blake” instead.
In this way, holiday or Christmas cards that announce or celebrate your engagement can act as a placeholder for engagement announcements or even as save the date cards! It doesn’t get any easier than that.
