We’re kicking off the brand new week with a question from bride-to-be, Paulina! She wants to know where to she can buy a handmade shawl for her February wedding. She writes,
“Hi! I want a handmade shawl or capelet for my wedding in the winter (February). I like the look of something crocheted or knitted but I don’t know where to buy one in time. Do you know anyone who makes them for brides? I need it in ivory to match my dress. Thank you!”
Handmade Shawl for the Bride
Hi Paulina! Great question. We’ve shared a few cozy wrap-up options for winter brides around here, especially lately (and as I see snow falling outside our office window I can’t help but want to grab one of these warm shawls myself!) A handmade shawl or crocheted bolero / capelet / etc. is always a classic look for the bride during winter weddings. We do know of a place you can find them in ivory as you mentioned, and they’re lovingly handmade, one-at-a-time! (We love that!)
These handmade shawls are by Flower Art Studio on Etsy and a Featured Artist here at Emmaline Bride. There are many shawls on the market, but we like these because each one is custom-made in your size so it’s a comfortable fit with your gown.
We love the ribbon detail on the front, the knitted pattern along the shoulders, and the colors available!
You can find this exact handmade shawl here.
There’s another option you might like: a bridal jacket. This is also handmade but instead of a ribbon front closure, there is a clasp at the top. I really like the lace detailing on this jacket! See this exact item here.
Isn’t it lovely?
If you’d like to buy a handmade shawl for your wedding, you can visit the shop here! P.S. It’s Cyber Monday, so you can get one for 10% off today only!
Hope it helps, Paulina, and thanks so much for writing!
