This Sonoma Valley styled session encompassed romance in lavender fields. It was a beautiful day with lavender in bloom as Candy and Jon meet with Sandra from White Ivory Photography. Sandra tells us, “I wanted to showcase a session filled with lots of soft pastel layers, golden sun and the beauty of the venue.” This romantic styled photo session was photographed at Matanzas Creek Winery in Sonoma Valley, California. The winery offered fantastic scenery as Candy and Jon walked among lavender, relished sweet moments, soft touches, and exchanged loving gazes. Feel the vibe in 3..2..1…

Good morning, lovelies! I spotted this amazing tablescape and had to share it… immediately. This vintage inspired tablescape would be perfect for either a bridal shower or a wedding. I love the pop of lavender – both the color and the sprig placed on the plate – and the lace ties the vintage look together perfectly. The metal place ‘cards’ are my favorite touch, and since it would take plenty of bridehours to make 100+ metal place ‘cards’, I think this works best for the bride and groom’s seats. This entire vintage inspired tablescape is gorgeous and one of my favorites to date. Styled by The Stylish Soiree, captured by Love Life Studios and spotted via Style Me Pretty.

We love these handmade lavender sachets for bridal shower favors because they smell a-mazing, they offer a pretty scent for your clothing drawer, are essential for de-stressing (lavender is used in aromatherapy products and is known for its soothing properties) and they are made with love + care. These sachets by The Blooming Thread measure 4 inches square with a linen top and lavender oil beads inside.

Lavender is such a simple and stunning alternative to a traditional wedding bouquet. In this example, the bride chose a lavender bouquet for her bridesmaids which complemented their dresses perfectly.

Looking for simple + sweet table decor that is easy to DIY? We love mason jar centerpieces! Just combine your favorite colorful flowers (for spring and summer some of our favorites include lavender, peonies, daisies, sunflowers, and wildflower bunches) and place in a mason jar full of water. Mason jars are easily my favorite addition to wedding decor and this is just one way to incorporate them. You can find half gallon mason jars (the larger one as seen below with the lavender flowers) via Midwest Finds or buy the regular size mason jars in bulk via Amazon. You can also find mason jars inexpensively at garage sales or estate sales in your area. Get creative + have fun!
