It’s exciting to see the newest wedding fashion trends as they emerge annually.
What will brides choose to wear this year?!
Whether it comes to wedding dresses, color palettes, themes, bridal earrings and jewelry, or even footwear, there always seems to be a new bridal fashion statement at the helm, straight from the runway.
And we’re here for it!
As a result of this year’s Bridal Fashion Week, captivating new jewelry styles are emerging down the aisle. And in this blog post, we’re predicting which ones will be the most popular trends for bridal jewelry in 2024.
From subtle pops of color to dark and gothic styles, here’s what you can expect to see in the jewelry realm for weddings this season.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Don’t feel any obligation to select trends unless you admire and like how they look on YOU! Choose the accessories and styles you love first — and if they happen to be trending, that’s a consequence of your awesome taste in fashion, I guess. I call it a bonus. :)
Let’s go!
Floral Accessories and Earrings
Floral everything is making a huge comeback this year.
Remember last year when the colorful 3D wedding dresses with floral appliques like these were all the rage? We’re seeing a dynamic shift, now with petals, leaves, and accoutrements blooming across the board in bridal jewelry and hair accessories.
Bold earrings are particularly popular, with large flower petal-shaped studs and dangle styles at the pinnacle of this trend.
You’ll also find bracelets, necklaces, hair pins, tiaras, and hair vines, all with similar leafy and floral undertones. It’s a lovely nod to nature!
For brides who prefer a bohemian aesthetic, you’ll be happy to hear the veil alternative (or addition to your veil) continues to be the tie-back hair vine. But this year, there’s even more emphasis on the gold leafing, crystal accents, and floral embellishments.
This look is extremely versatile and can be worn with any hairstyle, whether you wear your locks down or in an updo. You can even pair it with a bohemian-inspired braid or chic chignon.
Extra-Long Dangling Sparkle Earrings
While sparkly accents will always be in style, we’re noticing a shift from minimalist styles of the past few years to more maximalist looks. Bling is in, particularly in the shape of long dangling earrings that offer an extra dose of dazzling charm.
Here are some examples to see for yourself.
Another trend we’re seeing: pops of color.
Colorful Accents
White is a classic choice for the bride, but we’re noticing some brides are moving away from the same old tradition and proving that a pop of color is a fun alternative.
Go bold — like an aquamarine stone or even moss agate stones — and wear something that’s more your style in lieu of a classic diamond.
And we predict you’ll be seeing this trend in other facets, too: hello, colorful wedding dresses!
Last but not least, while veils continue to be a wedding-day staple, but some brides are reaching for a fairy tale-inspired alternative: crowns and tiaras. Here are some shining examples.
Crowns and Tiaras
Bridal headpieces like fairytale crowns and sparkling tiaras are having a moment in the fashion world.
Whether you opt for a tiara as a veil alternative or swap from the veil to a tiara for the reception, you better believe it’ll be sparkling from the first song at your ceremony to the last dance at the reception.
What do you think of these trends? Which one will you be following in the upcoming season?
Happy Planning!
