1. What should I wear for my engagement photos?
It’s important to wear good fitting clothes for your photos, whether you decide to go with casual wear such as blue jeans and polo, or a tank top and skirt. If you want a more dressy look for your photos, it is recommended for men to wear a suit or dress pants with a button up shirt, and women should wear a dress, skirt, or dress pants with a blouse.
2. Where should my engagement photos be taken?
Locations such as parks, gardens, beaches, and other local hot spots offer great settings for your photos. If you have a fun place in mind for your setting, suggest them to your photographer. You can also relieve stress and let your experienced photographer recommend their favorite photo spot.
Photographer Jan Casper tells us about a recent engagement session with a couple she photographed,
“These photos were taken on 2-14-10 at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens in Norfolk, VA. The couple is Pat & Gary. They both hadn’t had professional photos taken in years so they wanted some engagement photos to display at their wedding on March 6, 2010. We got lucky with the weather, we had to reschedule the shoot because of snow and rain, but the new day of the shoot was beautiful. It was cold, but sunny with a few clouds, a gorgeous day, perfect for photos. They had a great time and were a joy to work with.”
Thanks to featured photographer Jan from Jan Casper Photography, based out of Virginia Beach, VA for the great story and images.
