Wondering where to buy an address stamp or why you might need one? We’ll tell you! Subscribe for the latest.
Do you like writing out your mailing address fifty times or more? Do you absolutely love getting hand-cramps, wasting time, and running out of ink? NO?! Well, thank goodness. If you said yes, I would be genuinely surprised because I don’t know a single person who actually enjoys writing out their address on cards over, and over, and over again.
For your wedding, the number of times you’ll have to write out your address is exponentially increased since you’ll be sending out save the dates, wedding invitations, response card envelopes, and thank you cards, all requiring an address stamp for return post (unless you send these, of course). And for all of the above, you’ll need/want/be crazy not to get an address stamp.
Address Stamp
For situations like the above, you really need an address stamp. If I didn’t use one for my wedding, it would have taken me so much longer to get our wedding invitations sent out. Same goes with thank you cards (for the wedding shower and the wedding!
There are two stamp styles available: a wooden handle stamp and a self-inking stamp. The wooden handle stamp can be used with any color ink but you’ll need to self-ink each impression. The self-inking stamp will do the inking for you (in black ink only) and lasts for thousands of impressions. I have a self-inking stamp and it works beautifully and is less messy. However, if you want to use a particular color ink, the wooden handle stamp would be useful in that scenario.
The address stamp collection at Papermints offers custom address stamp options for your wedding stationery. I can’t imagine not having a stamp for your stationery, especially since it can be used long after the wedding on thank you cards and personal stationery.
Here are a few custom address stamp examples we spotted in their shop.
Since Samantha and Angie enjoy custom orders, you can have a stamp created to tie into your wedding theme or style, if you’d like. Just ask!
For example, this custom address stamp features an anchor symbol to tie in to a nautical wedding.
TOP PICK: My favorite design is this modern stamp, shown in the images below.
