Swim Cover Ups for Bridal Party? — Ask Emmaline

by Emma Arendoski

Hi, lovelies! A new question came into our inbox and we wanted to jump right on it since it’s pertinent to this amazing weather we’re having. Plus, it couldn’t have come at a better time because I was just browsing for swimsuits and, while not necessarily beach cover ups for bridal party attendants, I did manage to find some on my quest for my own bathing suit.

(Sidebar: I picked this one from here. I looked on their website but it was sold out, so you can actually buy some of their styles in their Amazon store instead. Super cute stuff, you have to check ’em out. What do you think? I hope it fits!)

Anyway, Jess wants to know where to buy cute beach cover ups for bridesmaids. She asks,

“Hi Emmaline Bride, I am getting one-piece swimsuits for my girls to wear at my bachelorette (it is beach themed) instead of shirts. Since I’m asking them to wear them for the bachelorette party, I want to also give my bridal party a gift they’ll wear again. I was thinking swim cover ups for bridesmaids. What do you think? Do you have any suggestions for bridal party cover ups that aren’t super expensive but look cute? Also, should I buy them with “bridesmaid” on the back or not? Thanks!”

Hi Jess! Great question. I was just looking at swim cover ups for ladies myself over here (this romper swimsuit caught my eye, but it’s so similar to my regular romper. Thoughts?) and I have seen a few bridal party cover ups that are super cute! I did some digging to find swim cover ups for bridal party attendants and here are a few that work perfectly for your beach bachelorette party. By the way, I like that idea: one-piece swimsuits for bachelorettes (and how fun as an alternative to shirts!) and then special swim cover ups to wear long after. Cute! I’m picturing something like this for the one-piece bachelorette swimsuits, right? We spotted these at Your Lovely Shop Design. P.S. Where were these when I got married?!

Bridesmaid Swim Cover Ups

In response to your question about whether swim cover ups HAVE TO say bridesmaid on them, nope, not necessarily! They can say whatever you want. Actually, having something like “babe” on the back instead signifies a part of your bride tribe, but is something they’ll most definitely wear again on the beach. (Bridesmaid? Maybe not so much.)

Monogrammed Swim Cover Ups for Bridesmaids

If you prefer nothing on the back (except maybe their own monogram vs. bridesmaid), check out these solid swim cover ups for bridal party attendants — or anyone, really! These are in fun colors like hot pink or teal; honestly, I love the rainbow poms along the edges of the hot pink swim cover up! By TSKMonogrammedGifts.

Bridal Party Cover Up Alternative

If you want an alternative to bridal party cover ups, try something like a floppy sun hat (here’s the ultimate guide) or straw bags! These are super cute and I want all of ’em.

Hope it helps! :) Thanks so much for writing. Have fun in the sun!
