If you’re the bride, you deserve the most comfortable wedding heels on the market. Your wedding day is not the opportunity to sit out, suffer from foot pain, or deal with blisters and bunions on your honeymoon because you picked the wrong pair of shoes.
If you’re wondering where to buy comfortable heels for your wedding and what kind of heels are most beloved by Real Brides, you’ve come to the right place! In this blog post, you’ll learn which heels are the most comfortable for wedding day wear, what heels to choose, and where to shop for comfy heels for weddings.
What are the most comfortable heels to wear for a wedding?
Whether you’re the bride or a wedding guest, comfort is vital.
Style is important, yes… but comfort must be a priority or you’ll be sitting out while everyone else is having fun.
The most comfortable pair of heels is a block heel: this width has a wider surface area on the heel, making it easy to walk in, even if you’re not usually a heels-wearer.
Block heels are exceptional for dancing, walking, and standing on your feet all day; they make nice footwear for the bride, moms, bridesmaids, or a wedding guest. They are comfy heels for wedding wear no matter the height, whether 1.5″ for a little lift or 4″ tall.
How do you survive a wedding in heels?
The bride, bridesmaids, moms, and guests can all agree: you spend a great number of hours on your feet at a wedding! So how do you survive a wedding in heels?
Here are some helpful tips I swear by as a wedding planner, frequent wedding guest (and bad dancer), and many a bridesmaid to a wedding in heels for 12+ hours at a time.
1. Break them in!
Don’t expect to wear heels on the wedding day fresh out of the box! Ahhhh! My feet hurt just thinking about it. :) Break them in a little bit at home or use this amazing gadget to stretch ’em out.
2. Add these pads.
The secret to every woman’s most comfortable heel? These pads: you’ll want these behind your foot and these for underneath your metatarsals to give you a little comfort and keep the backs from rubbing. Get them, you won’t regret it.
3. Choose comfortable heels based on reviews.
Don’t assume a pair of heels will fit you well off of the rack!
Instead, gain confidence BEFORE you buy with reviews from real brides who have worn them before! You’ll know exactly how comfy your wedding heels will be. The places we’re listing below offer the most comfortable high heels, low heels, and block heels you can find for weddings.
Most Comfortable Wedding Heels
Here are the best places to shop for comfortable heels for your wedding, based on reviews. I obsess over quality and comfort, so this list is 100% everything I’d wear myself with comfortable heels at the forefront. I hope you love these picks as much as I do!
1. Forever Soles
Price: $$ | Pricing begins at $60+
I’m obsessed with the heels at this shop for two reasons: one, they are the most comfortable wedding heels you can buy, IMO. But secondly, the styles are beautiful and the designer is super friendly and passionate about her brand. But don’t just take my word for it: customers call these “amazing”, “absolutely gorgeous in person”, “super comfortable”, just to name a few.
Their pearl bridal shoes are probably the most popular. Here are the pearl wedding shoes as an example:
One bride says she isn’t normally a heel person but can’t wait to wear heels for her wedding, selecting a block heel from this shop. (That’s a great tip: block heels are ideal for brides who don’t normally wear heels, as they’re the most comfortable heels for wedding day wear.)
These are some of the most affordable wedding heels you’ll find and they are the most comfortable. And they’re also available in a variety of styles: high heel, block heel, low heel, you name it. One of the noticeable differences between these shoes and other brands is their uniqueness: they offer pairs with pearl embellishments, soft suede blue shoes for your “Something Blue”, white velvet criss-cross heels, and more.
Angie, the owner, is amazing to work with!
Here are a few of their most popular pairs.
For a Christmas wedding, or if you’re looking for shoes to wear with your holiday party dress, try these!
2. Lulu’s

Known for the best wedding guest dresses, casual wedding dresses, and some of the best reception dresses we’ve ever seen, it’s no secret that Lulu’s offers cheap wedding heels, too. But are they comfortable? YES!

One reviewer calls these the “comfiest heels for my wedding” — and they’re only $38! :)
These are only $42 and have rave reviews.
Someone wore these to a wedding and said she didn’t think about her feet hurting at all! Love to hear it.
Want a pair of comfy mule heels? Here you go! These are wildly popular this season (cheap, too!)
3. Dream Pairs
Price: $ | Cost starting at $38+
This is the best place to shop affordable and comfortable heels for the bride. If you’re not familiar with the brand at first glance, chances are you’ve seen it on Amazon in the past. This is a popular shoe brand known for its affordability and some of the most comfortable wedding heels I’ve ever slipped onto my feet. I have a pair from when I was a bridesmaid, as well as another heel I wear regularly as a wedding guest and dance the night away in them.
You can find thousands of reviews on their footwear. This particular style is noted as, “comfy”, “cute and comfy”, and “the most comfortable pair I found”. They offer low-heel and high-heel options for your preference in tons of colors. Here is one example that is pretty popular:
And a few others, for good measure!
These are noted as “comfortable to walk in” despite being a platform. This style here is another great bridal shoe.
And these sparkly silver heels have one of the most glowing reviews, with a bride stating they are the most comfortable shoes they have ever worn! We love to hear it! See them here.
4. Bella Belle Shoe
Price: $$$ | Cost starting at $295+
This popular bridal shoe store has been making brides happy since 2007 when best friends Veronyca and Erina opened the shop. These popular styles are noted by reviewers as “so comfortable and classy”, “elegant”, “so pretty”, and “more comfortable than other heels”. The price point is on the higher end ranging from $295 to upwards of $350. However, these shoes are handmade for you and the price is reflective of this.
On some styles, you’ll notice suggestions to size a 1/2 size up which is a great guideline for maximum comfort in this shoe brand. I recommend reading the individual reviews here for the pair of heels you’d like to buy and see if sizing up is recommended for the best fit.
This pair of pointed-toe heels with a bow is a popular, highly-rated, and comfortable wedding heel. Get it here.
Here are some additional footwear options you’ll love from this store in closed-toe, pointy, and open-toe options.
5. Naturalizer
Price: $ | Price starting at $60+
These are the best wedding heels for wide feet, as they’re insanely comfortable and they’re durable, too. Every pair of Naturalizer I’ve ever owned has served me well, coming from someone who needs heels for wide feet!
This brand is unique due to its built-in cushion in the sole, unlike any other shoe I’ve tried. They’re fantastic. The price of these shoes is affordable from $60 upwards.
This pair of slingback heels are notable as “comfy” and “so comfortable” and “wore them for a full day at a wedding” — and her feet didn’t hurt as other ladies’ did! That’s what we love to hear. This particular shoe is stylish and cute with other colors available.
Here’s a pair of gold block heels I adore:
These block heels are “comfortable” and “stylish”, and also “easy to walk in”.

What to Do After Buying Your Heels
Giving your heels a break-in period is a fantastic way to make sure they’re comfortable before your wedding. You don’t want to take them out of the box on the day-of and find out they don’t fit your feet as they should.
If you aren’t normally someone who wears heels, this is an especially important thing to do. It may sound strange to “practice” walking in heels, but you’ll be glad you did before you make those initial steps down the aisle at your ceremony.
Where to Break In Your Wedding Shoes
There are two places to wear your heels without ruining them: at home and at your dress fittings. (White and ivory shoes get dirty quickly, so take caution!)
At home, you can wear them around for 20 minutes at a time, putting them back in the box after you’re done. You only need to do this a few sessions to properly wear them in, so don’t feel like it will become a part-time job. :)
At your dress fitting, your heels are essential for your tailor to get an accurate hemline. She or he will want to know the height of your heel to properly accommodate the length of your gown.
How to Get Most Comfortable at Your Wedding
And finally, here is one good trick: bring a pair of backup flats. You never know when you’ll want to take off your wedding heels.
You may have the most comfortable shoes around, but if you want to slip them off, you won’t want to go barefoot.
Instead, bring a pair of these comfy flats that are like walking on a cloud. Seriously. I bring a pair to every wedding I attend, even when I wear my most comfortable pair of heels.
If you’re searching for particular styles — like white block heels, all the rage at the moment — you can find a curated list here.
I hope these prove to be comfortable wedding shoes for you! If you find a pair you love, tell me all about them in the comment box below!
