I love the look of gold leafing. Like calligraphy, learning how to gold leaf is one my list of things I’d like to do. While I haven’t tackled gold leafing myself (yet), the look of gold leaf used in wedding and home decor is an inspiration to me. Today we’re sharing a handful of gold inspired wedding ideas (some using gold leafing) to inspire your upcoming wedding. We’ve rounded up a gold leaf wedding cake, ‘love’ signage, gold-inspired wedding invitations and place cards, a mason jar centerpiece, a table number, and a few DIY ideas you’ll want to try this weekend. Let’s begin, shall we?
Gold Inspired Wedding Ideas
Up first, we spotted this leaf print save the date. If you’re planning a gold inspired wedding, sending a save the date that coordinates is a wonderful way to kick off your theme. By Golden Silhouette.
One of our favorite gold wedding inspired finds is this Grecian-style gold leaf hair chain, spotted at Which Goose.
From top to bottom: We spotted a ‘love’ gold leaf sign from Host and Toast, a set of gold inspired wedding invitations (and placecards, underneath) from Golden Silhouette, a DIY gold leaf heart art tutorial from Sarah Hearts, a gold leaf hair comb by Le Chaim, and a gorgeous gold leaf wedding cake spotted at 100 Layer Cake, with photo from Jessica Burke and cake by the lovelies over at Pretty Please Bakeshop.
Turn an ordinary mason jar into a centerpiece-worthy vase! Just add this (and, if you like, sprinkle a bit of this along the bottom for added glam).
This gold table number pops on a black and white striped table runner. You can make your own table number like this with a paper mache numeral (you can find them at any craft store) and apply a coat of gold paint.
This isn’t made with gold leafing, but it ties in beautifully to your gold inspired wedding decor. Photo by Diana M. Lott Photography via Elizabeth Anne Designs.
One of my favorite finds is this DIY gold leaf poster, which reads, ‘Love, Sweet Love’. You can frame it and display on a table at your reception as decor; afterward, display in your home. Spotted at Beloved Indeed.
You can turn Terracotta pots into chic centerpieces with an easy gold leaf technique. Check out The Glitter Guide for how to make gold leaf pots. They’d look great as centerpieces for your spring or summer outdoor wedding.
Um, I can’t resist sharing these gold shoes. I mean, can you blame me? By Badgley Mischka.
And, you need a matching clutch. How about gold polka dots? This sweet little bag was spotted at PaperFlora and it’s totally handmade.

Hello
Is there any way I can order the monogram letter with the leaf design?
