“There is no charm equal to tenderness of heart.” -Jane Austen
Jane Austen themed wedding ideas are trending for fans of classics like Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and, ah yes, Emma. :) With a plethora of romantic quotes that flow from the literary classics of Ms. Austen, one can imagine how lovely everything can be with a little vintage romance added to it. From wedding decorations to favors, gifts to Jane Austen themed invitations, we’re seeing this as an emerging trend this spring — garden weddings especially!
We’ll be covering this in greater depth in a larger themed feature coming soon (so make sure you subscribe!), but we couldn’t wait to share a preview of these Jane Austen themed wedding invitations designed by Elmwood Paperie.
There are currently two lines to choose from: Jane and Elizabeth, both absolutely brimming with romantic touches. As you’ll see from these examples, there is an emphasis on soft, floral patterns, pretty calligraphy, and elegant color palettes.
Let’s take a closer look at both invites!
Jane Austen Themed Invitations
Jane
This collection features acrylic paint textures in peach, mint, and cream; “Jane” invitations are inspired by Jane Eyre. My favorite added part of this suite is the gorgeous envelope liner. It makes me wish I used envelope liners for my own invites: what a fun accent!
Elizabeth
The “Elizabeth” wedding invitation was inspired by, you guessed it, Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice. If you’re looking for Jane Austen wedding invites, this is a beautiful way to honor Pride and Prejudice. It features delicate watercolor florals, elegant script, and looks ideal for an outdoor or garden wedding. I love the monogram crest!
You can even begin the entire stationery set with a save the date to match, as shown here:

The best part of these invitations? You can buy the design you like best and print what you need. These are available as printable wedding invites, which means you buy the design and print them yourself. (This is the best place to print wedding invitations, in our opinion.)
